bleak weather outlook, minor bike problems, and major sun burns, we
decided to go splunking with our host Albert. We went to Postojne
caves about a half hour away. We were quickly loaded onto a
Yugoslavian Era train. It felt like a ride at Epcot except the danger was
unintended and quite real. The reward was well worth the risk, as the
cave proved to be astonishing. Ljubljana has proved to be a diamond
in the rough. Bike are tuned and the Julian Alps await.
